PGA Tour Official Release
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. and PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Avis, an Official Marketing Partner of the PGA TOUR since 2011, has extended its relationship with the PGA TOUR through 2022 and maintains its designation as the Official Rental Car Company of the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions and Web.com Tour.
“We’re thrilled to continue our longstanding relationship with the PGA TOUR,” said Joe Ferraro, president, Americas, Avis Budget Group. “Whether it’s business or leisure travel, Avis is committed to providing our customers with innovative mobility solutions that redefine the traditional rental experience. Through this partnership, we’re also giving them the freedom and flexibility to sneak in a little golf along the way.”
In addition to Avis-branded content across PGA TOUR telecasts, PGATOUR.COM and multiple licensed media partners, Avis will help customers “sneak in a little golf” through exclusive golf-themed offers and promotions. Avis will also continue to work with various tournaments, including those run by the TOUR’s Championship Management division, to provide vehicles and logistical support throughout the season.
“We truly value our relationship and the mobility services Avis provides to our fans, players, staff and tournaments,” said Brian Oliver, PGA TOUR Executive Vice President of Corporate Partnerships. “As a business whose employees and players travel week to week on multiple Tours around the world, and with fans who travel frequently for business and pleasure, Avis’ broad availability of vehicles combined with ultra-professional staff removes a lot of the stress of travel while creating a valuable partnership for both the PGA TOUR and Avis.”
